What the course covers
ISO Awareness training is a short, accessible course that helps staff understand what an ISO standard requires and how their own role contributes to meeting it. It demystifies the standard — its purpose, key requirements and what “good” looks like in everyday work — so that a management system is understood and used across the organisation, not just by a small team. It is delivered by ABS Academy, which has provided training services since 2004 with highly competent trainers.
Who it’s for
Awareness training is aimed at all staff whose work is touched by the management system, not only specialists. It is typically the first step when an organisation adopts a new standard such as ISO 9001 or ISO 27001 — building a shared baseline before the people who need it go on to internal auditor or lead auditor training.
Format
Awareness courses are the shortest of the management-system courses — a half-day or single-day orientation — compared with the more involved Internal Auditor and Lead Auditor programmes.
It sits within the Management System Training portfolio, which spans awareness, internal auditor, lead implementer and lead auditor levels.
Common questions
What is ISO awareness training for?
It gives all staff a clear understanding of what an ISO standard requires and how their work contributes to meeting it — the foundation that makes a management system function day to day, and helps everyone be ready for an audit.
Who should attend awareness training?
Staff across the organisation, not just specialists — anyone whose work is touched by the management system. It is often the first step when adopting a new standard, before more specialised internal auditor or lead auditor training.
